Lord of the Rings Masterpieces card set from Topps! The set focused on the art of the Lord Of the Rings movies. They're sketch cards, so they're all hand drawn and one will come in every box of cards. So far they have been really fun to work on. I'm drawing a couple hundred, so I'll be posting them as I get them approved. I'd like to hear what people think of these.
Below are some of my Lord of the Rings Masterpiece II sketch cards I drew for the new card set. The first six I decided to make them sort of look like a comic page if you stuck them together. I drew my favorite seen from the movies. It's the battle between Gandalf and the Balrog. This is what they looked like before I colored them. And here's a bunch of pencil sketches More to come soon!
This is an illustration i did recently for a trade magazine. I used acrylic paint on bristol board. It was actually for the cover. It was pretty fun. It's not everyday you get to paint a cooked turkey floating in outerspace!
They just posted some of my sketch cards on the Scifi hobby website. I drew 300 Avengers Sketch cards for the Complete Avengers trading card set. Each box will contain one hand drawn colored sketch card. For more details visit the website. It was really fun to work on this set. I also just started working on Lord of the Rings Masterpiece sketch cards as well. They just have my name up right now on the Topps website, but I'll post the cards as soon as I can.
These are some pages out of my sketch book. they're pretty much complete crap, but I like how some of it turned out. I used a ball point pen, marker type pen, and brush and ink on these. Sketch books are fun, but I don't get to draw in it as much as I would like.
These are some drawings from when I was an innocent little boy. I didn't write my age on most of them, but I was 5 to 10 when I did most of these. The crayon ones I was the youngest. They are of toys that I had or wanted. The cobra twins from G.I.Joe and Webstor from He-man occupied a lot of my free time and I drew them all the time! The drawings seem to get more and more gory the older I got. I hope you enjoy these long lost masterpieces...
