Monkeyboy page 10
Already on page ten of my ongoing weekly Monkeyboy story. That's about half a comic. I'm not sure how long this story will be, but it will probably go over the normal 22 page count...but you never know. Let me know what you think.

wizard of Oz Sketch cards
I've been drawing hundreds of Wizard of Oz sketch cards for the Breygent card company. Click on the link above to see the other reknowned artists that have been working on them as well. They've posted images of some of their cards.
We had to get our sketches approved and then re-draw them over and over again on actual cards. The sketch cards will be randomly inserted in card packs. I think there will be one or two sketch cards per box. I've been listening to some good movie commentaries and drawing a lot of flying monkeys and winkie guards, lately!

Tattoo
This is for illustration Friday. The word is tattoo. Sorry about the fuzzy picture, but it's all I got.
It's actually a drawing of a super hero I did a couple years ago. At the time I was working in a used book store. A lot of crazy people would come in and this one guy found out I liked comics. He really liked comics too. He would sit there for hours asking me who I thought would win in a fight between guys like, Green Arrow Vs. Hawkeye. We also shared the same first and middle name. Anyway, sometimes he would tell me about the super heroes he made up. He said he would sit at his typewriter and try to write stories, but nothing would come out. Mr. Tattoo was one of the characters that stood out in my mind, so I drew this mock comic cover. He had the power to give himself tattoos and they would come alive, so I drew this...

Aqua Brown
I found an old class picture from when I was in the first grade and I decided to write a story about one of the girls in my class. It stars Monkeyboy, but it's all true. In the first panel I added a bunch of classmates I fondly remember. The kid standing right behind Monkeyboy was my best friend and still is one of my best friends. One of the girls was named Vanilla and always smelled like pee. The first girl in the panel had a fear of public places and only came to school every once in awhile. I anly drew half of her. Someday I might write a bunch of short stories staring all these crazy kids.
My friend Dan Valentine printed this story on his fathers old time printing press. Thanks Dan!! I really like that old look!
